The Wilder is a historic office building located in Rochester, New York. It is an eleven-story steel or iron framed brick clad structure built between 1887 and 1888 in a modified Romanesque style. It is considered Rochester's first modern skyscraper, and is considered to be among the oldest of the early skyscrapers. It was designed by noted Rochester architects Warner & Brockett.
The Wilder is located at ground zero on Four Corners in Rochester's center city! Adjacent to many exciting projects including the ROC The Riverway Project. The ambitious half billion dollar Roc the River Way riverfront revitalization program is a series of projects that celebrate the past and build for the future. They will transform this former industrial waterway into a community recreational corridor that provides opportunities for all to interact with water.
Also adjacent to Wilder is the renovation of the historic Aqueduct Building into Constellation Brands' global headquarters, an $80 million redevelopment project that will create 350 jobs!
The building is also in the middle of a burgeoning arts and cultural hub which brings life and vibrancy to this area.
